Macrame Rocks
I’m a little bit in love with macrame, it adds a beautiful bohemian and ridiculously romantic feel to any event.
For those of you who don’t know what macrame is, in short it is the art of tying knots and is an ancient art form that dates back to the thirteenth century, but in recent years has become very popular again.
On the lookout for someone local to work with, I was lucky enough to discover Treasures from my garden. Gosia is just so talented and created this beautiful macrame backdrop for the Cheeky Hound Collection, as well as this table runner and these super cute vase jars.
Now I wouldn’t be surprised if you wanted to purchase some of these gorgeous items for your wedding, event or baby shower, and hang them in your home after, but if you aren’t very crafty, so don’t fancy attempting it yourself (it is an art form remember) and your budget won’t quite stretch to purchasing the better-quality versions, I thoroughly recommend hiring them.
There are numerous ways you can use macrame creations at your event. Our gorgeous backdrop could be used as a wedding ceremony arch for you to either walk through at the beginning of the aisle or you could have it as backdrop for saying your “I do’s”. It makes a beautiful backdrop for your cake and can also be used as a backdrop for photos. If your venue if happy to move it about it could be used for more than one purpose. Alternatively, the backdrop can be used for any vintage inspired event and looks just adorable at baby showers.
There are so many other wonderful macrame creations that we don’t yet have in the Collection, so remember to follow us on Instagram or Facebook to keep up to date with new additions which will be coming soon and give your event the wow factor.
